it's friday, that means kerry is going to come over, and in the morning we will all go to the farmers market together! hip!hip!hooray!
for the first time ever i had my eyebrows professionally shaped and waxed. i feel quite glamorous. although, next time i do something like that, i will have someone watch sebs... kerry will be so proud that my eyebrows are in order. she is always teasing me about them. i like crazy eyebrows! oh well.

cait and ashley left last nite for vermont. they will be missed!

i designed and sewed a really cute 6-gore skirt, that i hope to make for the shop this weekend. we are becoming increasingly steady, and there is very good word-of-mouth out in pdx about the shop, which is super nice. the shop is really coming along!

well it is time for sme ice tea. damn this hot weather!

yesterday matthew took sebastian over to visit his sisters and mom, as they were in town from houston, and bend respectively.
that gave me the chance to hook up my new serger and serge! i serged for hours and made some very cute coasters and "farmer's market" (i totally made that up too!) bags for the shop.
around 5 spud and i went to see charlie and the chocolate factory. i liked it well enough, but it was a wee bit difficult to NOT compare it to its older 70's counterpart. as much as i like johnny depp, he is no gene wilder. that said, it was a pretty fun movie. i mean it IS a kids movie, right?
today, as it was pretty slow at the shop, i took the liberty of rearranging the entire space. ahhhh...much better. earlier i stopped over at duchess, to visit seyta, and to give her a few edawrdian garments i have been stowing away, so that she can draft some new patterns to sell at the shop. thankfully she liked everything! i'll post some pictures of the finished dresses as soon as i can.
what else? we finally finished moving all of the stuff from the apartment of doom, to our new hobbit house. it is a lot of fun setting up house. and it is great to have a backyard, frontyard, garden, and decent neighbors, with a kid only a few months older than sebs!
